  Kimberly Larson, WHCNP, RN, MSN

  Kimberly Larson, WHCNP, RN, MSN, is a certified and skilled nurse practitioner. She is passionate about women’s health. She received her undergraduate degree in sociology from the University of California in Santa Barbara. After graduation, she moved to Colorado, where she assisted in a practice focused on women’s health care. This experience motivated Kim to work toward an MS degree in nursing. She completed this training at Vanderbilt University in 2002. Committed to High-Quality Gynecological Care Kim enjoys staying up to date in her field. This allows her to provide a high quality of care. She enjoys educating her patients to allow them to make informed decisions about their own healthcare. She is very experienced in office gynecology, including contraception care, cancer detection, abnormal uterine bleeding, colposcopy, peri-and postmenopausal care as well as sexual health. Expertise in Menopausal and Hormonal Therapies Kim is a North American Certified Menopausal Specialist (NAMS) and specializes in treating hormonal imbalances, utilizing traditional and natural therapies. She also provides transgender hormone care. Kim is a down-to-earth, caring practitioner who understands the many health issues of women and enjoys working with them to lead healthier lives.

  Kendall Cassidy, CNM, NP

  Kendall came to women’s health out of a desire to improve women’s experience with their medical care. She wants women to feel comfortable, safe, and heard in all discussions, and especially those that pertain to their health. There is no concern too small or too embarrassing to be asked at Southern Oregon Gynecology, and Kendall wants her patients to feel assured that their concerns are valid and deserving of her attention. Education & Early Career Kendall has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in many settings over the last decade plus. She came to Southern Oregon in 2001, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Science at SOU. In 2012, she obtained her master’s degree from Oregon Health and Science University, then worked for a tribal hospital of The Navajo Nation, serving the Dine people. Turning Towards a Gynecology Focus After having children, Kendall transitioned out of an obstetrics practice and now focuses exclusively on gynecology across the lifespan. Her specialties include contraception, peri and post menopause, hormone therapy, endometriosis and pelvic pain, vulvar dermatology, sexual health, cancer screening, and all things women’s health. Kendall enjoys connecting with her patients through authenticity and humor and strives to develop long term relationships. It is important to Kendall, and all the providers at Southern Oregon Gynecology, that we adequately address discomfort and pain with gynecologic procedures. Kendall works hard to stay on the forefront of pain management, and we utilize many tools to help patients with both pain and anxiety in the gynecology setting. In her free time, Kendall attempts to grow flowers, make art, and appreciate the beautiful lands of Southern Oregon. She loves sunshine, big mountains, good fiction, and her children. Like all of us, she struggles to find time and balance and she needs to exercise more.

  Loretta Sandoval, CNM, NP

  Loretta is a certified advanced nurse practitioner and nurse-midwife. She earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing and midwifery from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Spanish from Taylor University. Dedicated Gynecological Care Across the Lifespan Loretta has served women in the Rogue Valley as a nurse practitioner since 2012. She has extensive experience providing gynecological care across the lifespan such as well woman exams, contraceptive management including IUD’s and implants, fertility treatment, hormone replacement therapy, and evaluation and treatment of gynecological concerns. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of vulvar conditions, including lichen sclerosis and vulvodynia. Her work included prenatal care and labor and delivery until 2019 when she began her own family; she now focuses exclusively on office gynecology. One of the things Loretta enjoys most about her practice is getting to know each woman individually and growing that relationship over the years. She takes time to listen to each patient’s story, thoughtfully crafting a plan to best achieve her health goals, and following her closely to be sure that they’re on the right track. She loves celebrating health achievements in the women she cares for. Outside of work, Loretta soaks up time with her husband and two little ones on their small homestead and passes the days playing, gardening and caring for their chickens, cows and goats.
